Cutting Through to Reality

Most of us are poised on the edge of our experience, unable to plunge into the present moment wholeheartedly. Even in sitting meditation many of us are often only partly committed to the process. Is there a way to invoke 100% presence? Mudra Space Awareness, a mind-body discipline rooted in the Shambhala tradition, gives us some potent exercises that can help us discover what 100% presence really means, thereby giving us a powerful “imprint” we can carry into other situations in our lives — including our meditation practice.
In 2005, Greg Heffron apprenticed with senior Mudra Space Awareness teacher Craig Smith, and become authorized to teach this unique mind-body meditation technique. Since that time, he has taught Mudra Space Awareness around North America and Europe. In 2007, Smith and Heffron taught this practice in a workshop for fourth year students in the Dance Division at The Juilliard School in New York City. Heffron owns and manages Green Zone Institute where he teaches mindful communication with Acharya Susan Chapman.
