Inspired by Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche’s early education in Tibetan monastic dance, Mudra Space Awareness is an immersive mind-body discipline that awakens by disrupting entrenched physical and emotional patterns.
Mudra today is a marriage of imagination and physical activity. Profound and creative exercises look into the face of today’s disruptive forces and intensity to evoke confidence and transformation in our spiritual and professional lives.
Through a combination of intensive physical training, contemplation, sensory awareness and discussion, Mudra addresses living in the 21st century.
This weekend will be a complete immersion in Mudra Space Awareness. It will combine focused sensory awareness with physical training that leads to a radical shift in our understanding of the mind-body relationship in all aspects of our lives.
Senior Mudra teachers Acharya Suzann Duquette and Greg Heffron will present the broad scope of these experiential teachings that conveys their application to spiritual awakening, lifestyle balance and professional development.
Dr. Craig Smith, Chairman of Mudra Institute, via video, will lecture on the Mudra Manifesto, which proclaims how these teachings respond to the groundlessness of our current moment.

Who Should Attend this Mudra Weekend?
The weekend is open to everyone who has previously taken a Mudra weekend or retreat or who is part of an ongoing Mudra group. (May 15-17)
The five-day retreat, including the weekend, has three dimensions:
- Vision: Mudra provides an experiential glimpse of non-dual perception, in which self and other co-arise in a moment of perception. Practitioners can gain a pragmatic and accessible understanding of Dzogchen and Mahamudra, Tibetan Buddhism’s highest non-dual teachings, in which self and other co-arise in each moment.
- Method: Exercises and postures train the practitioner to make inner “gestures” – subtle actions – that rework the mind/body relationship and alter sense perceptions while restoring balance. These result in a refreshing level of flexibility and awareness that is applicable to every situation.
- Applications: First presented as theater training and a vital complement to meditation and contemplative practices, Mudra has evolved to be applicable to everyday life – professional development, e.g. health, family, education, art and entrepreneurship. Applied Mudra can be activated in both digital and physical settings.
